My friend Kristy graciously gave me a wonderful bag of grapefruits the other day. I wanted to make a sea breeze but was out of cranberry juice. I put this together and it was a tasty treat. So, when life (or Kristy ) gives you grapefruits I recommend this:
crushed ice; vodka; fresh squeezed grapefruit juice; lemon-lime soda; grapefruit bitters. I just need a name for it…
Hmm, well grapefruit and vodka is called a greyhound, so maybe this could be a ‘continental’?
I liked your idea of calling it airline. It’s official it’s called “Airline Hwy.”
The “Airline Hwy” is absolutely delicious and very, very dangerous. It tastes like a refreshing summer punch with not too much sweetness. Oh, and there’s vodka. Right. Forgot about that.
Yum!
You are right about the dangerous part!! You forget there’s vodka in it.
I always want to be associated with “Airline Hwy” !!!
Lol! If you have any left, you need to make this drink…
